Whenever I see a Caesar salad on a restaurant’s menu, I’m drawn to it. It is always the best combination of flavors. While a classic Caesar salad is easy to make at home, sometimes it is fun to do a spin on it, and this wrap is just that.

In this delicious chicken wrap recipe, we are combining cooked chicken, Romaine lettuce, crunchy homemade croutons, and the most perfect Caesar dressing. In a word, this wrap is completely perfect. That was actually two words, but I think once you taste the wrap you will forgive me.

How to Make a Chicken Caesar Wrap

Here is a brief overview of how to make a Caesar chicken wrap. For the full recipe including all measurements, scroll to the recipe card at the bottom of the post.

  • Cook the chicken. Rub the breasts with olive oil and season with kosher salt and black pepper. Bake 30 to 40 minutes or until it registers 165 degrees Fahrenheit. Cut into bite-sized pieces. Read other options for cooked chicken below.
  • Make the Caesar salad. Combine the lettuce, chicken, croutons, cheese, and dressing. Toss to combine so the dressing coats everything well.
  • Put it all together. Place a heaping cup of the salad mixture in the middle of each of the tortillas. Fold in the ends about two inches, and then roll up the wraps. Enjoy!

Cooking Chicken

This is a great recipe to make with leftover chicken. While you can grill or bake chicken (like I share in the recipe card) to make this recipe, here are a few options for having cooked chicken on hand. Whatever method you go with, cut your chicken into bite-sized pieces. Here’s a rundown of delicious cooked chicken choices to perfectly suit your needs and preferences:

  • Rotisserie chicken: This is the ultimate time-saver. Most grocery stores offer delicious rotisserie chicken, perfectly cooked and ready to cut or shred. It’s a fantastic option for busy weeknights or when you’re short on prep time.
  • Frozen cooked chicken: Freezing cooked chicken is such an easy way to keep on hand for tons of recipes. Thaw the frozen chicken in the refrigerator overnight before using it in this recipe.
  • Make your chicken breasts in the air fryer or breaded chicken tenders for extra crunch.

Homemade Caesar Dressing

This is the best Caesar salad dressing recipe because it’s made with simple ingredients that combine to create a tangy and creamy salad dressing. It adds the best creamy texture and tangy flavor to this chicken Caesar salad wrap. You can absolutely replace it with your favorite store-bought version, but this recipe is way too good and comes together in a snap.

Homemade Croutons

One of my favorite parts of this recipe, outside of the delicious dressing, is the homemade croutons. They are so easy to make and they are about a million times better than store-bought croutons. You will love how simple these come together. They also last in an airtight for up to a week, making these great to keep on hand for this delicious wrap.

Tips and Tricks

  • Use the right tortillas. This recipe needs at least 9 inch sized tortillas for the wrap to work. These are the wraps labeled “burrito-sized” tortillas in the store. Flavored wraps like spinach or tomato basil would also be delicious.
  • Prep ahead. To save time on busy mornings, cook your chicken and chop your lettuce in advance. Store them in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to three days. This allows you to whip up a delicious chicken Caesar wrap in minutes!
  • Add in some tomatoes. While they aren’t traditional to a caesar salad, tomatoes are a great way to add additional flavor, fiber, and nutrients to this lunch.

Making Ahead

This is a great recipe that comes together quickly for a delicious and simple lunch. Prepare your wrap as directed in the recipe card then place it in an airtight container or bag, using toothpicks to secure it and keep it wrapped if needed. Know that the longer it sits, the more the croutons will absorb the dressing and start to soften.
