A French Martini is the perfect delicious cocktail to make at home. Made with just three ingredients, this is a great idea for your next ladies’ night!
There is something that feels so fancy about a martini. Maybe it is the glass that conjures images of old school nightclubs, but they are truly delightful. Martinis are also notorious for being simple. They are just a few ingredients shaken together, and therefore they are ideal for having fun cocktail nights at home.
This delicious French Martini is just such a cocktail. It is made with just three ingredients, all of which are easy to keep on hand. Whip one up for your bestie this weekend!
French Martini Ingredients
Just three ingredients are needed to make this delightful French martini cocktail. Be sure to scroll to the recipe card at the bottom of the post for the measurements of each ingredient in this classic cocktail.
- Vodka: Most martinis are quite vodka-forward, so it is important to use a vodka that you enjoy the taste of. The better the vodka, the better the martini will be. See more on my vodka recommendations below.
- Raspberry liqueur: A pretty bottle of Chambord is perfect. Its fruity flavor and pink hue are also delicious with just soda water.
- Pineapple juice: While I almost always recommend juice squeezed fresh from the fruit, pineapple juice is one I buy and have good results with.

Vodka Recommendations
Fortunately, good vodka can be found at various price points! This makes it easy to find something within your budget and make great cocktails. For top-shelf vodka, I recommend Grey Goose or Belvedere.
If you need a more budget-friendly option, Titos is great and one I use often. Another great budget-friendly vodka is Kirkland Vodka which you can find at Costco. People often can’t taste the difference between Kirkland and Grey Goose in blind taste tests.
Chilling Your Martini Glasses
Martinis are best enjoyed ice cold. Since we don’t put ice in them at the risk of diluting the drink, something simple that helps to keep your martini colder for longer is chilling your glasses while preparing the cocktail. A quick and easy way to do this is to fill your martini glasses with ice and water and place them in the fridge. I recommend for at least 10 minutes or for as long as a few hours.
When you are ready to pour your cocktail, dump the water and ice and wipe out the glass. Strain your cocktail into the chilled glass and enjoy!
