It doesn’t get a whole lot easier than Rice Krispie treats. But they are so fun to change up! In this version we are adding birthday cake Oreos and cake mix. It’s a fun twist on an old classic.
How to Make Cookies and Cream Cake Batter Rice Krispie Treats

- Melt the marshmallows with the butter. I like to do this on the stovetop over low heat.
- Combine the rest of the ingredients. Add in the Oreos, cake mix, vanilla, and sprinkles.
- Push into the pan. Allow them to set, then remove them from the pan and cut.

When this post was first made, I was totally obsessed with golden birthday cake Oreos. They are absolutely perfect in these. They are hard to come by now. So you can simple use the chocolate version, or you can use golden Oreos. Both will be delicious in these.

Store these in an air-tight container for up to one week. Please keep in mind that these will be best within the first two days of making the. They do freeze well. Store them in the freezer in an air tight container for up to three months.

Cookies and Cream Cake Batter Krispie Treats
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter
- 10 ounces of marshmallows
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup cake mix
- 8 Birthday Cake Oreos crushed
- 6 cups rice cereal
- 1 tablespoons sprinkles
Instructions
- Spray a 9 by 13 inch pan with cooking spray.
- In a large pot over medium low heat, melt the butter and the marshmallows together. Once melted, stir in the vanilla.1/4 cup butter, 10 ounces of marshmallows, 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- Then quickly stir in the cake mix, then the Oreos, then the rice cereal. Once combined, quickly pour into the pan.1 cup cake mix, 8 Birthday Cake Oreos, 6 cups rice cereal
- While still hot, top with the sprinkles. Let set, and then slice and serve.1 tablespoons sprinkles

For easier mixing, spray a spatula with cooking spray.
