Super cute DIY Halloween candles that can be dressed up any spooky way you want!
These fun Halloween candles are so easy to make. They are a fun and simple craft that you can do in dozens of different ways.
Materials for Halloween Candles
- Plain white candles. You will want to use white candles like you see here since you will be able to see the color behind the design. Lighter colored candles could work as well.
- Tissue Paper. This is what we will print the design on.
- Card stock. This will be used to help print the design.
- Tape. This will hold the tissue paper to the card stock when you print it.
- Pins. This will hold the tissue paper to the candles while we attach it.
- Hair dryer. This is how we will attach the tissue paper to the candles.
How to Make Halloween Candles
- Make a graphic. Or use one of the ones below that you see on the candles pictured here.
- Prep the tissue paper. You want to cut it to just smaller than the card stock. After cutting the tissue paper, tape it to the card stock. Be sure that no tissue paper is hanging off the edges of the card stock.
- Prep the candles. After removing the tissue paper from the card stock, cut the printed tissue paper to fit the height of the candle. Then wrap it around the candle, securing it with the pins, pushing them through the tissue paper and into the candles.
- Melt the tissue paper into the candle. With a hair dryer set on high, heat the candle up gradually. You will see the wax start to melt and kind of grab the paper. Do not overheat the candle or you will risk misshaping it.
How to Make Graphics
I made the images for the candles going on PicMonkey. They have an awesome selection of Halloween graphics that you can use. Canva is another great option.
- Create a new image. Make the size of the image be 8.5 by 11. Keep the background white or change it to clear.
- Add graphics. You can use the graphics that PicMonkey (or Canva) have for free or you can upload your own. The possibilities are endless.
How to Use My Graphics
Alternatively, you can use the graphics I made that are below.
- Right click no the graphic you want to use.
- Click save to downloads.
- From there you will be able to print them.
