This Cucumber Lemon Gin and Tonic is a twist on the classic cocktail that will have you begging for more. It is like the classic Gin & Tonic recipe got a major upgrade. Refreshing, crisp, and absolutely delicious.
I have always been a huge lover of the the perfect gin and tonic recipe. It was my go to cocktail from my early 20s until I became a responsible(ish) adult and mother. I love a great twist on a classic cocktail (like Jalapeño Moscow Mule twist on the Original Moscow Mule), which brings us this amazing and delicious Cucumber Lemon Gin and Tonic.
To make this amazing cocktail, we first need cucumber gin. There are actually a few varieties of cucumber gin on the market, but it is so easy to make!
HOW TO MAKE CUCUMBER GIN
Making cucumber infused gin is easy! And once you have a batch of it, you can add a cucumber twist to all of your favorite gin drinks. I think I’m going to try a cucumber gin martini!
Slice an English Cucumber Thin. You need about 1 cup of sliced cucumbers, but if you don’t feel like measuring, just use half of an English cucumber. You can keep the peel on, just make sure that you give it a good wash first.
Add the cucumber to a mason jar or other glass container. I like using glass mason jars when infusing alcohol because I feel like they hold on to other flavors so much less than plastic containers.
Refrigerate for 24 hours. You can use it after 2 hours, but it tastes best after 24 hours. At that point, discard the cucumbers (or eat them!) and store your cucumber gin in the refrigerator.
HOW TO MAKE A CUCUMBER LEMON GIN AND TONIC
I love adding the thinly sliced cucumber slices to the glass as a fancy garnish. Though not necessary, it sure looks fun. To do that, use a vegetable peeler to peel an an additional cucumber lengthwise. Take an empty high ball glass and gently twist the slice around the inside of the glass. Because of the moisture in the cucumber it should stick to the side. Now carefully add some ice.
After you have made your cucumber gin, combine the gin and the lemon juice in a shaker filled with ice. Give it a good shake and strain into the cucumber lined and ice filled glass.
Top with tonic (or diet tonic) and give it a very gentle stir. Add a lemon wedge for garnish and a straw and enjoy!

Will certainly be using this recipe in the summer, nicely presented in the glass, not sure mine will look as swish, lol . An excellent post, with lovely pictures, thank you for sharing.
