WHAT GOES INTO CHERRY CHEESECAKE FRUIT FLUFF?

  • Cream Cheese
  • Cheesecake Pudding Mix, though if you can’t find that just use vanilla.
  • Vanilla extract
  • Milk
  • Cool Whip, if you prefer not to use cool whip, you can use homemade cool whip, which is stabilized with gelatine.
  • Cherry Pie Filling
  • Mini Marshmallows

It’s so simple and so easy to throw together.

TIPS FOR THIS CHERRY CHEESECAKE FLUFF

Does it seem super ridiculous to give you tips for a simple recipe? Guys. We are all at different abilities. Don’t judge. Some of us can’t even ball a melon.

  1. Make sure your cream cheese is at room temperature. I like to a fill a small bowl with water, microwave it for 5 minutes, empty it, and then put that over the cream cheese that is still in the foil wrap but out of the cardboard box. Even right out of the refrigerator that brings it to room temperature in about 10 minutes.
  2. As mentioned above, I used cool whip, but you could certainly make homemade whipped cream and then stabilize it following this great recipe from Something Swanky.
  3. If you watch the video for this, you will see that I didn’t mix the cool whip in with the beater before adding the cherries and marshmallows. That was so I could get that pretty picture of all the ingredients in the bowl you see above. Don’t be like me, guys. Whip the cool whip in with the cream cheese and other liquid ingredients before adding the cherries and marshmallows.

Do I have to put in Cream Cheese🤔

    • Lisa Longley says

I haven’t tested this recipe without the cream cheese. I think you are going to find that it isn’t thick enough without it.

  2. Ginny says

Can ‘sugar free’ instant pudding be substituted???
And no other changes haved to be made?

    • Lisa Longley says

I haven’t tested that, but I can’t think of a reason why that wouldn’t work.

I just made it this is delicious I’m adding some crushed graham crackers to the top

  4. Marcia A Petitt says

Lisa is it possible to get a Nutritional count on the Cherry Cheesecake Fluff?

    Thank you so much

    • Lisa Longley says

This is an older recipe that we don’t have nutritional information for, but I love using MyFitnessPal to calculate the nutrition of recipes that aren’t my own. It’s a free app and works great.

  5. Tina says

I just made this and it’s a sticky blob. I followed the recipe to a t. I haven’t added the cherries or marshmallows yet because I can’t stir it. HELP

    • Lisa Longley says

Without being there it’s hard to know what is off. I would add the cherries, as the liquid from the filling will help thin things out.

  6. Ellen says

Can I use strawberries and the strawberry gel instead if canned cherries

    • Lisa Longley says

      Yup!

  7. Dawn Musbach Murphy says

I made this recipe for Easter and everyone loved it!! I think next time I will add extra pie filling and decrease marshmallows…After all the cherry is the best part🍒🍒

I’m really sorry but mine was …not good. It wasn’t “inedible”…but it was simply not good. I went back and checked the recipe – everything was correct. The dessert was a bit “gluey” and was rather bland. I used whipped cream (not cool whip) and Comstock brand cherry pie filling. We each ate a small helping – but disposed of the rest. Sigh. I enjoy your recipes, so sorry to have a bad review on this!

    • Lisa Longley says

The whipped cream instead of the cool whip is probably what is to blame here. It has additional sweetness that whipped cream alone does not have as well as a different consistency.

  9. Janet says

I had dental surgery and have to follow a strict soft diet. Also can’t have small seeds. Can I substitute strawberry pie filling? If it has seeds can I run it thru cheese cloth to remove the seeds if there are seeds? I have never bought. Strawberry pie filling.

    • Lisa Longley says

Hi Janet! The cherry filling won’t need to be strained and doesn’t have seeds. I probably wouldn’t go with strawberry because I think the seeds would be really hard to eliminate.

The only thing I would change about this next time is I would add two cans of cherry pie filling. My husband and I both wanted more cherries. It still was delicious!

    • Lisa Longley says

I’m glad you liked it Beth!
