A Limoncello Martini is a delightfully delicious and refreshing cocktail that is a must make. Our amazing limoncello combines with vodka, simple syrup, and lemon juice to make a must-have martini.
I love the flavor of lemon, and that makes this Limoncello Martini such a delight. It is perfectly sweet without being too tart. It whips up quickly and is fantastic for a party.
Limoncello Martini Ingredients
Just four simple ingredients combine in this delicious martini. Be sure to scroll to the recipe card at the bottom of the post for the full recipe including all measurements.
- Limoncello: This sweet and vibrant lemon liqueur is the star of the martini. I have a great recipe for making homemade limoncello below.
- Vodka: A good-quality vodka provides the base for a good martini. I share my recommendations below.
- Simple syrup: Adds sweetness and balances the tangy lemon notes. It is so easy to make your own simple syrup with just one cup sugar and one cup water in a saucepan. Keep it on hand for cocktails, it dissolves into liquids better than plain sugar.
- Fresh lemon juice: Grab some lemons for fresh lemon juice; bottled lemon juice just doesn’t have the same vibrant flavor as fresh.

Homemade Limoncello
A reader recently shared her recipe for homemade limoncello with me and I couldn’t believe how delicious and easy to make it was. Made with lemon peels and Everclear, the Italian lemon liqueur has the perfect sweet lemon flavor.

Best Vodka For Martinis
Grey Goose and Belvedere are great high-end vodka options. For a budget-friendly vodka, I love Tito’s. Kirkland vodka that you buy at Cosco is also a great option. In blind taste tests, people often can’t taste the difference between Kirkland and Grey Goose.
