This creamy Pumpkin Nutella Dip is only four ingredients and so delicious. This recipe is perfect for a party!
I absolutely love dessert dips. Typically they are easy to whip up and make a great addition to a party spread. This pumpkin fluff dip with Nutella is the perfect example. It is so easy to make and pumpkin and Nutella get along in the most magical way. You will love this yummy dessert.
How to Make Pumpkin Nutella Dip
Here is a brief overview of how this easy pumpkin dip recipe comes together. For the full recipe including the full list of simple ingredients and all measurements, scroll to the recipe card at the bottom of the post.
- Combine all ingredients. Put the Nutella, whipped cream, pumpkin puree, and pumpkin spice in a large bowl.
- Mix it up. Use a hand mixer to mix until fluffy and well combined.
- Garnish and enjoy! Top with mini chocolate chips and serve or chill.
Pumpkin Pie Filling vs. Pumpkin Puree
I often am asked when I share a pumpkin recipe if pumpkin puree is the same as pumpkin pie filling. Pumpkin puree is just what it says, pumpkin that has been cooked down and pureed until smooth, while pumpkin pie filling is sweetened and filled with different spices. While I recommend pumpkin puree for this recipe, if you can only find pumpkin pie filling, leave out the pumpkin pie seasoning that the recipe calls for as the pumpkin will be sweetened and seasoned already.
Pumpkin puree comes in handy in so many recipes and is so easy to make at home rather than buy a can from the store. It can be made in the oven, crock pot, or instant pot with only a pumpkin and some water. Use this to replace canned pumpkin in all of your favorite pumpkin recipes.
Pumpkin Puree
Pumpkin Spice
While you can buy a spice blend labeled pumpkin spice or pumpkin pie spice from your grocery store, it is easy to make your own with just four simple spices that you probably already have on hand! Made with ground cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves, it is a great way to season so many fall recipes and adds the perfect flavor to the pumpkin puree. I love it in my Pumpkin Bread Recipe, Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, and of course Pumpkin Pie From Scratch.

Stabilized Whipped Cream
This dip gets its light and fluffy texture from stabilized whipped cream, which is a perfect replacement for Cool Whip. The flavor is so much better and it comes together with just three ingredients, skipping the extra sweeteners and additives of store-bought.
Please keep in mind that whipped cream is not a replacement for Cool Whip in any recipe. The added ingredient of gelatin and powdered sugar used in the stabilized whipped cream are important to ensure that the recipe works and holds.
All of this being said, if you want to use Cool Whip in this recipe I have absolutely no judgement what so over. Do what works best for you in your house.

How to Serve
This pumpkin pie dip can be enjoyed immediately, or stored in the refrigerator for up to one day in advance if you want to make it ahead of time. Serve with graham crackers. It would also be delicious with pretzels, vanilla wafers, and animal crackers.
Storing Nutella Pumpkin Dip
Keep this dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Don’t let the dip sit out for more than two hours. You may want to give it a good stir before serving as it will firm up as it sets.
