This Sparkling Rosé Sangria is just four easy ingredients! It is perfect for summer days!
It was warmer here yesterday and it made me SO excited for warmer summer days. I immediately wanted to pull out our patio furniture and plan a picnic at the park.
What are you most exciteded about for summer?
There is something about summer weather that makes me crave big pitchers of sangria! If you have been following me for any time, you know what I have LOTS of sangria recipes.
They all go off of the basic White Sangria and Red Sangria recipe, and they are all delicious!
This recipe starts with Rose, and I know you are going to love it!
FOUR INGREDIENT SANGRIA
One of the things I love about sangria is you can make a delicious cocktail for a crowd that isn’t overly complicated. Most of my recipes are just a few ingredients.
Only four in this one!
- Sparkling Rosé
- Limonecelllo
- Fresh Raspberries
- Lemons
If you can’t find raspberries, you could replace them with strawberries. You could also use frozen raspberries! They won’t be as pretty, but they will be delicious.
WHAT IS ROSÉ
Rosé is a wine that is produced with some of the skin still on the grapes, but not enough to classify as a red wine. It is likely the oldest type of wine because of how simple it is to make.
The types of Rosés you can buy can vary from still to semi-sparkling to sparkling. In this great sangria we use sparkling. It is perfect for a festive drink.
Some other great recipes that use Rosé include:
WHAT IS LIMONCELLO
Limoncello is an Italian lemon flavored liqueur. It is often served on it’s own after dinner as a dessert.
Fun sidebar: When I was young I told my Dad that I mixed it with 7UP and I still don’t think he has forgiven me.
Be sophisticated. Put it in sangria or drink it on it’s own. 😉
Oh Limoncello, how I love thee.
This Lemon Champagne Cocktail is another great cocktail that uses limoncello.
CAN I MAKE THIS AHEAD?
Because of it’s simplicity, I would urge you to make it right before serving. Given that one of the highlights of this drink is the bubbles, you don’t want it going flat.
CHILLED
This drink is great chilled! The way to accomplish that is to make sure your sparkling Rosé is nice and cold before making this.
Stick it in the refrigerator overnight or put it in the freezer for 20 minutes.
PRO TIP: Set a timer as you put your Rosé in the freezer to avoid just a huge sad mess.
