This recipe for Bacon Ranch Turkey Sliders is an old one, but one that is well loved. I first came up with it as a way to use up turkey left overs after Thanksgiving, but I’ve had more and more people over the years ask me if it is possible to make this sliders recipe with deli turkey meat instead. So I decided it would be best to update it to show you this quick and easy weeknight dinner recipe that can be enjoyed all year long.
These were great. A nice, easy mid-week meal that feeds a bunch of kids. Thank you!
How to Make Easy Turkey Sliders
The thing I like about making sliders is that they are so simple to make and you can change up the flavors really easily and make a completely different recipe. Two of my favorites are my Italian Pesto Sliders and my Breakfast Sliders.
With this recipe we start with our 24 slider buns cut in half and then add some ranch dressing.
Next, top with a little bacon. It works best if the bacon is broken up so that the sliders are easier to cut after. (Note, it should be more broken up even than you see here.) You could even dice the bacon before cooking to make them really easy to cut.
Please note that the bacon is cooked.
Now we are going to add our turkey. As I mentioned, this is a great way to use left over turkey, but deli turkey works just fine too. You could also use shredded chicken here.
Next, add some slices of cheddar cheese. When I first made this recipe, I used shredded mozzarella. That also worked great! I just really love the combination of bacon, cheddar, and ranch.
Finally, top with the top half of the buns. Top generously with melted butter.
Bake them covered for about 20 minutes and serve them warm!
Ways to Change this Bacon Ranch Turkey Recipe
As mentioned above, I love changing up slider recipes. This is a very flexible recipe and you could do a lot with it!
- Add a little buffalo sauce to the ranch dressing before putting it on for a Buffalo Ranch vibe!
- Swap the cheddar for Swiss, leave out the ranch, and add a little melted butter to the bottom of the rolls for a Turkey Bacon Swiss.
- Sauté some mushrooms and onions and throw them on there as well for an added layer of flavor.
Other Easy Dinners
While there is a little bit more prep time on this recipe than I would have on an “easy” recipe, there is so much hands off time in the oven, that I think we are still okay. Here are some other recipes that I think are great for week night meals.
- Baked Chicken Fajitas: Minimal prep time and done in under 30 minutes.
- Crock Pot Chicken Taco Soup: The ultimate dump and forget meal. We have this one all the time!
- Easy Top Round Roast Beef Recipe: This one has to cook for an hour, but it is really only 5 minutes of hands on time! Make my crockpot sweet potatoes to go with it!

Turkey Bacon Ranch Sliders
Ingredients
- 12 dinner rolls cut in half
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing
- 1 pound bacon cooked and broken into small pieces
- 1 pound turkey meat (see note 1)
- 8 ounces slices of sharp cheddar cheese (see note 2)
- 4 tablespoons salted butter melted (see note 3)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a 9 by 13 inch glass baking dish.
- Put the bottoms of 8 dinner rolls in the pan. Evenly distribute the ranch dressing over the rolls.
- Add the bacon to the rolls, then top with the turkey, and finally the cheese slices.
- Add the tops of the rolls. Brush them with the melted butter.
- Cover the pan with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake an additional 5-10 minutes until the cheese is gooey and melted.
Notes
- You can also make this recipe using turkey breast leftovers, for example at Thanksgiving. Substitute the deli meat with 2 cups of diced leftover turkey.
- I’ve also used mozzarella in this recipe and it was delicious.
- You do not need to use all 4 tablespoons of butter. Melt 4 tablespoons and brush on enough that the tops of the rolls are completely coated.

Thanksgiving was 3 months ago & we are in a small town so I cannot find turkey breast (I don’t want to buy a whole turkey just to make the sandwiches) so I’m going to try it with chicken breast meat :-)
Lisa Longley says
That’s a great idea Kim! This would also be really good with just deli turkey meat!

That sounds awesome! I’m so happy you liked it!

Can these be made the night before the party?
Lisa Longley says
Because they come together so quickly, I personally would not make them the night before. You run the risk of things getting really soggy.

How far ahead can you make these? I’m serving them to a group and want to have things ready to go before they get here and just pop them in the oven when everyone arrives
Lisa Longley says
You could make these 24 hours in advance, but I would put the ranch dressing between the cheese and the meat rather than against the bread. Then wait to add the butter until right before you put them in the oven.
