Shamrock Shake

This Shamrock Shake tastes just like the original, but skip the line at the drive through and make it at home! It's so easy!

Ingredients

For Shakes

  • 2 1/2 cups vanilla ice cream
  • 1 cup milk see note
  • 1/4 tsp mint extract
  • 9 -10 drops green food coloring

For Serving

Instructions

  • Put the ice cream, green food coloring, and mint extract in a blender. Add about 3/4 cup of milk, and begin blending, adding more milk until you get the desired consistency.
    2 1/2 cups vanilla ice cream, 1 cup milk, 1/4 tsp mint extract, 9 -10 drops green food coloring
  • To serve, pour into two tall glasses (like is shown in the pictures) or pour into four small glasses. Top the shakes with stabilized whipped cream (or whipped cream), sprinkles, and then a cherry.
    4 maraschino cherries, stabilized whipped cream, gold or green sprinkles

Notes

I always use skim milk with this recipe. But you should feel free to use whatever milk you have on hand. Start by adding 3/4 of a cup and add more until you get the desired consistency.
